Help Your Library Thrive – Volunteer With Us!
Share Something at Reading at the Rock!

Our volunteer-run library is always looking for community members who share an interest or want to help bring people together.

No special credentials needed, just enthusiasm and reliability.

You might help by:

  • Hosting a book club

  • Running a teen D&D game

  • Helping seniors with technology

  • Starting a crafting group

  • Helping students with English or language arts

  • Subbing for our yoga class

  • Hosting a parent or homeschooler meet-up

  • Giving a talk about something you love

  • Helping spread the word about the library

You can start something new, help run an existing group, or just fill in occasionally. Even helping once or twice makes a real difference.

Interested? When you reach out, please let us know which age group(s) you’d most enjoy working with (kids, teens, adults, or seniors).

Reading at the Rock is powered by neighbors like you.

Other Volunteer Suggestions:

  • Library Volunteer: Volunteer at the library during various shifts. Must be willing to undergo a background check. No experience necessary.

  • Summer Reading Helpers: We need a few adults to take on small tasks in order to get this program moving forward. Also, if you have teens who need community service, why not help at our local library?

  • Attend meetings: We are considering starting a regular carpool signup. Please help amplify our speakers’ voices by attending City Council, County Commission, and PPLD Board of Trustees meetings.
